SINGAPORE: An accident at a Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) workplace on Sunday, September 29, resulted in the death of a worker.
A work-related incident at 8 Sentosa Gateway was reported to the police at about 8 a.m. In answer to a question from CNA, the police stated, “A 44-year-old man was found unconscious and subsequently pronounced dead by a Singapore Civil Defence Force paramedic at the scene.”
According to RWS, the contractor on the job site notified them of the tragedy on Sunday morning and stated that one of the workers had passed away.
Where the Maritime Experiential Museum once stood is where the accident happened. The S.E.A. Aquarium had to expand, therefore the museum had to close in 2020. Since then, the area has been closed to the public.
The RWS representative continued, “The contractor and RWS are assisting the authorities in their investigation. Police stated that investigations are still underway and that no foul play is suspected.
