Career Background And Early Life
We started the interview by asking, “Can you please provide us with some information about yourself, including your early life and education?”
Pradesh Raj Selvaraj’s shared, “I’m turning 27 this year and have a passion for science. I excelled in it as a kid and thought I would pursue it as a career. However, martial arts was also an option. I started taekwondo at 4 and continued until 16, but lost focus after a friend’s death. I switched to Muay Thai, Boxing, MMA, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and Wrestling, fighting professionally and coaching for a few years.
At 18, I started tutoring at my university as a way to make some money. Eventually, I dropped out and began working in a gym, handling sales, marketing, and coaching. It was a tough time as I struggled to support myself and pay bills, often relying on basic meals like rice and soy sauce or porridge. This lasted for 3-4 years, during which I moved out of my family home.
Eventually, I decided to leave the gym and entered the financial services industry, initially selling insurance. However, I didn’t enjoy it and partnered with a friend to pursue my idea. After a year of building and pitching to banks and insurance companies, we caught the interest of a bank that acquired our technology. Our goal was to bridge the gap between the wealthy and ordinary people, ensuring similar benefits for all.”

Eager to learn more about the presence of Pradesh Raj Selvaraj’s business in the industry, we asked, “Could you tell us about your company and its presence in your region?”
He shared, “I’m an investor and entrepreneur running multiple companies, including Blue In, an AI Cybersecurity firm focused on facial and body recognition. Our advanced technology enables detection from multiple angles, predicts body language, and recognizes violent tendencies. Additionally, we offer various solutions. Despite being new and Malaysian-owned, we aim to dominate the market with our in-house built technology.”
“RAHU Creative, my metaverse company, aims to unite people through music. Our tech is nearly complete, and we plan to commercialize next year. Our metaverse will combine the real world with parallel universes, allowing for concerts held both physically and virtually. This inclusive approach enables anyone to attend our live concerts via their avatars. We have ambitious plans for the next 3-5 years, all set and ready for execution.” Pradesh added.

Pradesh Raj Selvaraj’s passionately responded, “Persistence and readiness to pivot and innovate. Malaysia’s tech industry is booming, making it crucial to stay ahead of the competition. Remaining rigid in your approach can hinder success, as someone else is likely already striving to out-innovate you. While staying true to your goals, be open to change and innovation. The truly successful prioritize this game and approach it with dedication, rarely letting emotions affect their decisions.”

Pradesh said, “I am highly knowledgeable in the tech industry and have a good understanding of both tech and business. Most of my companies are in the tech space, making us leaders in the digital revolution and tech-driven changes.”
Words Of Wisdom For Beginners
Lastly, seeking guidance for beginners in this field, we asked, “What advice would you give to someone just starting in your field?”
“Start now instead of waiting for the perfect moment. When I was younger, I used to think I wasn’t ready or that there were always people better than me. But the truth is, you’ll never feel completely ready and there will always be someone better. So, just leap and learn as you go. While it’s helpful to have a mentor for guidance, surrounding yourself with smart and ambitious individuals who challenge you is equally important. Choose a few close friends who share your drive and together, you can achieve anything.” Pradesh concluded.
