His Royal Highness Dubai’s ruler, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE’s vice president and prime minister, stated on Thursday that the city is dedicated to improving its infrastructure, services, and amenities to solidify its standing as one of the greatest places in the world to visit, live, and work.
Sheikh Mohammed also emphasized the importance of young people in promoting sustainable development in remarks made while on a visit to Hatta. “Our initiatives foster prosperity, open doors, and empower people. With sustainable development innovation, we hope to establish Hatta as a global paradigm for human-nature harmony,” he continued.
Key development initiatives in line with Dubai’s Vision 2030, Dubai Economic Agenda D33, and Dubai Social Agenda 33 were reviewed by Sheikh Mohammed. Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa); Mattar Al Tayer, Director General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and Chairman of the Supreme Committee to Oversee the Development of Hatta; and other high-ranking officials greeted Sheikh Mohammed upon his arrival.
Mattar Al Tayer gave Sheikh Mohammed an update on the status of 65 Hatta projects totalling Dhs3.6 billion, 41 of which had been finished. The Hatta Master Development Plan includes projects meant to enhance quality.
