Applying for the Thailand Pass is crucial for international travelers planning to visit Thailand. What are the Thailand Pass Requirements?

To get approval for a Thailand Pass and obtain the necessary QR code, it is essential to meet a few requirements first. In general, travelers must have a valid passport, visa, and a minimum of 10,000 USD in health insurance coverage that includes coverage for Covid-19.

1. Passport

Foreign travelers from any part can apply for the Thailand Pass. They can choose one of the entry programs in Thailand, like No Quarantine with Vaccine and No Quarantine with Covid test programs. The applicant must have a valid passport for their stay in Thailand. 

2. Flight Booking:

When applying for the Thailand Pass, the travelers must provide the intended date, flight number, port of arrival, and country of departure. 

3. Vaccination or Covid Test

Travelers under the No Quarantine Vaccine must have been fully vaccinated against Covid 19 with a vaccination approved by Thailand and WHO. The vaccine must have been administered no less than 14 days before their departure. Travelers who are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and their unvaccinated children are required to undergo an RT PCR test or professional ATK test 72 hours before traveling. 

4. Covid -19 Travel Insurance

The travelers must have a Covid -19 Travel Insurance with a minimum coverage of USD 10,000.

Registration for a Thailand Pass can be done in the following ways. 

1. Secure the documents

Who can apply for the Thailand Pass?

Everyone can apply for a Thailand Pass. Still, some requirements are listed below. 

1. Fully Vaccinated:

Travelers fully vaccinated from all countries and territories may enter through the No Quarantine with Vaccine Program without a mandatory quarantine. Travelers under the No Quarantine program are only required to provide proof of vaccination and Covid insurance when applying for Thailand Pass, and on arriving in Thailand, they will be allowed to travel anywhere in Thailand. When traveling with a fully vaccinated parent, unvaccinated children may enter Thailand without quarantine. 

2. Unvaccinated Travellers:

Travelers not fully vaccinated from all the countries and territories may still enter through the No Quarantine Program without a mandatory quarantine. Unvaccinated Travelers under the No Quarantine program are required to provide a negative RT-PCR test result issued within 72 hours before traveling. In lieu of the proof of vaccination and Covid insurance when applying for Thailand Pass and upon arriving in Thailand, they will be allowed to travel anywhere in Thailand. Children traveling with unvaccinated parents must undergo a Covid test before traveling to Thailand.

How to apply for Thailand Pass?

The Thailand Pass System is a QR code-generating system. To obtain a QR code or Thai Pass ID, travelers will have to 

  • Register at the official web portal 
  • Input personal details 
  • Upload the required documents per their vaccination status 
  • Receive a confirmation email after registration 
  • Wait for the approval 

After, if approved, you will receive an email with your QR Entry Code or ID, which you will use upon entering Thailand.
