SINGAPORE: In his Friday, February 16 budget statement, Six Key Deputy Prime Minister Lawrence Wong outlined several financial initiatives to support enterprises and Singaporeans alike.
These included steps to lower the cost of preschools, increased rewards to ease worries about the cost of living, and a new mid-career worker assistance program called SkillsFuture Level-Up.
CDC vouchers worth an additional S$600 will be given to every home. This will be distributed in two parts: half in January 2025 and the other half at the end of June.
A cost-of-living “special payment” of S$200 to S$400 is given to adult Singaporeans who reside in Singapore, do not own more than one property, and have assessable salaries up to S$100,000.
A one-time MediSave incentive of S$100–S$300 will be given to individuals between the ages of 21 and 50 in December.
